Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
IPL uses broad-spectrum light pulses absorbed by pigment in the hair follicle. With repeated, consistent sessions it may help support a reduction in the appearance of hair regrowth over time.

Patch test first
Test a small area on the lowest setting and wait 24 hours before treating a full area.
Skin and hair suitability
IPL works by targeting pigment, so it is most effective on light skin with dark hair and is not suitable for very dark skin tones, or for white, grey, red or very fair hair. Check the manual's skin tone chart before use.
Never flash over
Moles, freckles, tattoos, permanent makeup, dark spots, broken or irritated skin, or the eye area. Never use around the eyes or on the face above the cheekbones.
Sun exposure
Do not use on recently tanned or sunburnt skin, and avoid sun exposure and use SPF on treated areas for two weeks after a session.
Preparing the area
Shave and clean the area first — never wax, pluck or epilate, as IPL needs the hair root intact to work. Skin must be dry and free of lotions or deodorant.
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have epilepsy, are taking photosensitising medication, or have a skin condition or history of skin cancer. Speak to your doctor if you are unsure.
