1 · Prep
Cleanse with a gentle cleanser and cool water, then apply a hydrating serum or moisturiser. The Lumi LED Amplifier Essence works well before and after. The skin must be well coated and hydrated for proper conductivity and comfort.
2 · Power on
Confirm the indicator light is green and choose Low, Medium or High. Always begin on Low to assess your skin's tolerance. Starting too high can cause irritation or heat rash.
3 · Press and treat
Press the treatment head firmly against the skin with all electrodes in contact. Hold for one 2-second cycle, then lift and move on. Beginners: one cycle per area. The device vibrates to mark each cycle, once on Low, twice on Medium, three times on High. Use that as your timing guide.
Technique
Press and hold is recommended for deeper, more targeted warmth. The glide method, moving continuously across the skin, suits heat-sensitive skin, larger areas, and gentler sessions.
Guidelines
- Up to 2 or 3 passes per area per session; 1 to 2 on sensitive areas or higher settings
- Lift the device the moment the heat becomes uncomfortable. Never force prolonged contact.
- If the device powers off mid-use despite being charged, the skin is usually too dry. Reapply serum and continue.
Afterwards
Cleanse with cool water and a mild cleanser, apply a hydrating moisturiser, and drink plenty of water. Avoid fragrance, alcohol, and actives such as retinoids, acids and exfoliants on the same day, and do not touch or pick at treated areas. Resume actives on alternate days.
